Description: Position Summary:The Fabrication Technician is
responsible for participating in and leading fabrication of sheet
metal parts using CNC fabrication equipment according to current
drawings and specifications. Adherence to all procedures relating
to materials, quality, equipment operation, and testing, as well as
all fabrication department and company procedures is
essential.Essential: Attendance Provide timely personal notice of
absence and documentation when/as required; at work station
promptly at the start of the shift; following breaks/lunch and
continues work until completion of scheduled hours. Job Knowledge o
Demonstrate the ability and willingness to cross train on multiple
machines and/ or fabrication equipmento Demonstrate skills running
CNC fabrication equipment, punch laser, panel bender, and press
brake. Troubleshoot equipment when needed. Perform small CNC
programs adjustments. Operate equipment with particular focus on
material waste reduction, material handling reduction, and
high-quality standards.o Act as an expert and a go-to individual in
the fabrication technicians team. Help troubleshoot equipment,
solve material handling problems and scheduling problems, and
support other teammates.o Perform material handling of raw metal
sheets and of finished product with attention to detail.o
Collaborate with, support and suggest opportunities to engineers
and programmer to reduce cycle time, material waste and increase
quality in the fabrication department. Support all activities to
identify, isolate and reduce scrap. Demonstrate skills to setup
equipment, change tooling and perform small preventive
maintenance.o Complete all necessary forms including but not
limited to: non-conforming, part shortage, documentation, and
engineering changes.o Read and interpret blueprints and follow
fabrication department instructions. Adhere to all Fabrication Team
and RenewAire policys such as kitting, addressing clocking errors,
etc. Quality - Visually inspect all parts to ensure that quality
standards are being upheld. Follow all QA procedures defined by the
fabrication department. QA procedures to be followed will require
the use of measuring tools at a certain frequency. Know and follow
all engineering drawings, documentation and process flow
procedures. Productivity - Acts with ownership of work processes
within the cell and is responsive to downstream customers and
upstream inputs in a way that increases overall company speed.
Fabricate units within the estimated lead time in combination with
the allotted estimated job hours and meet all due dates.
Demonstrate a level of commitment and effort of work and remain
focused and on task. Coordinate the demand in production and in the
insulation cell. Willing to learn and apply Quick Response
Manufacturing, cell, and time-based manufacturing methodologies.
Safety - Address all tools and equipment in need of improvement,
repair and/or replacement. Report unsafe
conditions/practice/incidents & accidents in a timely manner. Wear
personal protective safety equipment as required, actively
demonstrates concern about safety of self and others, does not
participate in and/or encourage horseplay. Keeps work area in a
neat and orderly manner. Teamwork/Cooperation/Flexibility Promote a
pleasant and professional work environment. Communicates
effectively with other team members and refrain from gossiping.

Fabrication educational classes a plusMust have previously operated
CNC equipment for a minimum of 1 year: laser punch, panel bender
and/or press brake equipment, preferably Salvagnini
equipmentRequires 1+ years of relevant manufacturing
experienceRequires basic computer skillsRequires mathematical
skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and
divide and to read measurements in inches and feetMust have the
ability to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical
schematics, and other manufacturing instructionsRequires good oral
and written communication skills to successfully interact with
other employees.Must have the ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few
concrete variables in standardized situationsPhysical DemandsThe
