The Fabrication Technician is a key player in the world of

What Fabrication Technicians Do
*Essential Responsibilities*
Gain expertise across a range of fabrication machines, becoming a
versatile asset to the team.
Take charge of operating and troubleshooting fabrication equipment,
adjusting CNC programs to optimize production.
Drive efficiency by minimizing material waste while ensuring every
part meets the highest quality standards.
Establish yourself as the go-to expert, providing guidance and
support to fellow technicians.
Handle raw metal sheets and finished products with precision,
ensuring flawless quality control at every step.
Collaborate with engineers and programmers to streamline processes,
reduce cycle time, and boost overall performance.
Take initiative in setting up machinery, changing tooling, and
performing preventive maintenance to keep production running
smoothly.
Accurately complete all required documentation, including
non-conformance reports, part shortages, and engineering
updates.
Expertly read and interpret blueprints, turning detailed plans into
flawless fabrication.
Visually inspect all parts to ensure that quality standards are
being upheld.
Follow all QA procedures defined by the fabrication department. QA
procedures to be followed will require the use of measuring tools
at a certain frequency.
Know and follow all engineering drawings, documentation and process
flow procedures.
Proactively address tool and equipment issues, report safety
concerns promptly, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
Foster a positive work environment, communicate effectively, accept
feedback, and remain flexible when tasks or priorities shift.
Identify and implement improvements, contribute ideas, and solve
problems independently and efficiently.
Take ownership of processes, meet deadlines, and maintain focus to
boost company speed and efficiency.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; metal fabrication
courses a plus.
Minimum of 1 year experience operating sheet metal equipment
(laser, punch, panel bender, press brake preferred).
1+ years of relevant manufacturing experience required.
Basic computer and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide,
and read measurements in inches and feet).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical
schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
Strong oral and written communication skills for effective team
interaction.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems with a
few variables in standard situations.
